When Home and School Work Together
Both parents and teachers play a vital role in educating a child. Parents are children's first teachers — providing love, support, and essential life and academic skills. The connection and communication between teachers and parents becomes especially important in any school setting, including early education.
Young children are very attuned to their parents, teachers, and caregivers and read their cues well. When a teacher and parent are connected and have a positive, strong relationship, children are more likely to feel safe and have a more positive attitude toward their teacher, center or school, and learning.
