Establishing a Child Protection Team

Keeping children safe takes a team approach. We suggest you start by designating a Child Protection Team. Members of this team can include senior administrative and supervisory staff, a board member, a human resources representative, a community professional, etc. The team, depending on camp size, can be composed of 3 to 4 people of which at least 2 are on site at camp during the summer. These individuals will assist in the implementation and preservation of your camp child protection policies and procedures. You are encouraged to have all higher level administrators and Child protection team members take this Director’s CampSafe training.
